ICS is a France-based member organisation with the aim of enhancing working conditions along global supply chains of its member retailers and brands. ICS is composed of 54 multinational retailers and brands in the sectors of textile, retail, footwear, electronics and furniture.

The ICS programme efforts are based on a framework defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the universal human rights principles and applicable local regulations.

ICS utilises a common methodology and tools to facilitate social audits through third-party ICS-accredited audit companies. ICS audits result in a graded evaluation – which is used by members to engage factories to complete appropriate corrective actions. In addition to social compliance efforts, ICS has a robust, parallel supply chain environmental sustainability effort.

ICS (Initiative for compliance & sustainibilty- সম্মতি  এবং  স্থায়িত্বের  জন্য  উদ্যোগ)   হল  একটি আন্তর্জাতিক  সেক্টরাল  উদ্যোগ  যার  লক্ষ্য  তার  সদস্য  খুচরা  বিক্রেতা  এবং  ব্র্যান্ডগুলির  বিশ্বব্যাপী সরবরাহ  শৃঙ্খলে  কাজের  পরিস্থিতি  উন্নত  করা ।  ICS  একটি  ফ্রান্স-ভিত্তিক  উদ্যোগ  যা  ১৯৯৮  সালে FCD, Fédération Française du Commerce et de la Distribution  দ্বারা  তৈরি  করা  হয়েছিল, ২০১৮ সালে  এর  বিশতম  বছর  উদযাপন  করা  হয়েছে।টেক্সটাইল, খুচরা, ফুটওয়্যার,  ইলেকট্রনিক্স  এবং  আসবাবপত্রের  ক্ষেত্রে  ৫৭  টি  বহুজাতিক  খুচরা বিক্রেতা  এবং  ব্র্যান্ডের  সমন্বয়ে  ICS গঠিত।আইসিএস  সদস্যরা  সাধারণ  সরঞ্জামগুলির  সাথে  সহযোগিতা  করে, অডিটগুলিকে  পারস্পরিক  করতে,  অডিট  ক্লান্তি  হ্রাসে  অবদান  রাখে  এবং  জ্ঞান   সর্বোত্তম  অনুশীলনগুলি  ভাগ  করে  নেয়।এই  যৌথ  পন্থা  আন্তর্জাতিক  শ্রম  সংস্থা (ILO-International labour low) কনভেনশন, সার্বজনীন  মানবাধিকার  নীতি  এবং  স্থানীয়  সামাজিক  বিধি  দ্বারা  সংজ্ঞায়িত  কাঠামোর  দ্বারা  পরিচালিত  হয়।  ICS  সদস্যরা  তাদের  সরবরাহকারী  উৎপাদন  সাইটের  প্রকৃত  কাজের  অবস্থা  যাচাই করে  ICS-স্বীকৃত  অডিট  কোম্পানিগুলিকে  সামাজিক  অডিট পরিচালনা  করার  জন্য বাধ্যতামূলক করে। মূল্যায়নের পরে, ICS সদস্যরা  সংজ্ঞায়িত  সংশোধনমূলক  কর্ম  পরিকল্পনা  বাস্তবায়নের  জন্য নিরীক্ষিত  কারখানার  সাথে  জড়িত  হন।
