1.0 OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this SOP is:
1.1 To lay down a procedure for Raw Material FIFO and FEFO
Procedure.
2.0 SCOPE:
2.1 This SOP is applicable for Raw Material FIFO and FEFO
Procedure.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1 The Officer /Supervisor Store shall be:
3.1.1 Responsible for Raw Material FIFO and FEFO Procedure.
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:
4.1 Manager Store / Head – Quality Assurance
5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Issuance of the raw materials to the production, following
parameter is to be considered.
5.1.1 First in first out (FIFO) i.e. Material issue as per the receipt,
means first received materials issued first.
5.1.2 As per available shelf life i.e. less available shelf life material
issue first.
5.1.3 As mention above first material consume as per the available
shelf life and then after as per the receipt date.
5.1.4 First expired first out (FEFO) i.e. Material shall issue as per the
material that expired first preferably issue first for production.
