Energy Management Policy
- Introduction:
This policy is about sustainable use of energy at —————– Group, Chittagong.
- Policy Overview and Goal:
This energy policy is formulated or established in order to ensure most efficient use of energy in different processes and activities at —————– Group, Chittagong. The main goal of such policy is to ensure optimal and most efficient use of energy and hence to achieve a sustainable practice in managing energy at ——— Group, Chittagong.
- Key principles of Energy Management Policy:
- —————– Group strives to use energy in the most efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible manner possible.
- Under this policy energy management will play a key role in support of our plan to maximize profitability, strengthen our competitive position, and provide customers with the highest quality products.
- Our efforts to reduce energy use will also support our commitment to our employees, the environment, and the communities in which we are a part and operating our business activities.
- —————– Group will work towards continuously improving energy performance. We will establish specific implementation plans, called ‘Energy Plan 2022’, and will have made significant achievements in this area within 5 years’ time.
- Key objectives of the policy:
- An Energy conservation action committee will establish. An annual meeting will help of this committee. Committee will be setting up the percentage of use of renewable energy for next year.
- Facility will use more environmentally friendly fuel resources (i.e. natural gas) to meet the demand successfully and procedure less air pollutions.
- Facility will use renewable energy to reduce the pressure on conventional energy resources.
- Sustainable Energy use practices:
To achieve objectives of energy policy, —————– Group has commitments to:
- Compliance with all energy management laws, regulations and Codes of Practice in existing operations, upgrades and new developments.
- Operating practices that seek to minimize impacts through works and management practices, continual improvement, training and the use of new technology.
- Improve employee awareness and encouraging the sharing of experiences and expertise.
- Management review of energy objectives and targets per annum.
- Communication of this policy with related stakeholders on regular basis.
- Consultation within —————– Group, within the supply chain and with other relevant bodies, community groups and neighbors about energy management matters of common concern.
The —————– Group is committed to develop and implement sustainable practices for optimal and efficient use of energy in different processes and activities. Therefore, the factory has been paying more attention on introducing some of the following sustainable energy use practices:
- Facility will use energy saving light, LED light in replace of traditional light.
- Facility started use servo motor in replace of traditional normal sewing motors.
- Facility already establishes an effective IE department by which facility will achieve highest benefits from lowest utilization machines. By this process Energy consumption reduction is possible.
- Facility will take initiatives to use highest utilization of day light so that pressure on indoor light can minimize.
- Adequate insulation will install to reduce heat losses through stream pipe line.
- Air conditioners will clean and free from scale. Monitoring of refrigerant/ambient temperature differences will conduct.
- Targets for energy use reduction:
—————– Group has developed a sustainable energy use plan, called ‘Energy Plan 2022’. This plan is targeted to reduce non-renewable energy by 5% by 2022 as well as replaced such energy demand by introducing renewable energy source, like Solar Panel establishment at the factory.
- Roles and Responsibilities of staffs:
All staffs including management people and general workers are responsible to ensure optimal and efficient use of energy as much as possible. They will perform their given duties so that —————– Group is able to fulfill its goals and objectives along with achieving energy use reduction targets for a particular period, most specifically to achieve ‘Energy Plan 2022’. There will be an information flow among all related people who are involved in energy uses to different processes and activities at —————– Group.
